CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

ha ha ... yes .. just that trying out 1/2 " cmos camera got from andrew .. not too bad for single shot.
Say, in order to collect 100 shots, will take a long time. There is no video mode :( , any geek here know how to overcome this shortcoming ..

Response from Mightex:

Hi Andrew,
Our camera software would allow you to save up to 50,000 consecutive STILL IMAGES, and then you could use other commercial software or freeware to generate .avi movie. I just Googled "still images to avi software" and came up with a lot of links. Here are some of them:
http://www.downloadjunction.com/product ... index.html
http://www.allworldsoft.com/software/6- ... reator.htm
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia ... dits.shtml
http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Best ... s-avi.html

I am sure that, with some research, you should be able to find a good software for this purpose. Hope this helps. :-)

Please feel free to contact me if there is anything else that we can do for you. Thank you and have a wonderful weekend!

Regards,
-Miles

Pretty good image for a single shot, potentially a good camera, get a stream of images and i sure the outcome is going to be fantastic! :)

Nice image, cheeyiun.
Do not like Saturn like it is now. Not enough "volume"! [smilie=crying3.gif]
Tried it with a DSLR?
