Questar - anyone has it?

Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

Post by VinSnr »

Hi,

Does anyone here owns a Questar?

Would love to take a look at it if there is opportunity.

Thought there was one at Astro-scientific and someone also displayed one at Astronomy 2008 at the Art Musuem?
Not forgetting a certain scotsman has one too. [smilie=cool.gif]

Wow! croys, that's fine optics indeed! The stats looks something like those for a mirror on astromart recently:

But the special part is the optics - the interferogram report shows 1/20 PTV and more importantly nearly 1/100 rms. This is among the best results of any Q3.5. Apparently the test was repeated as they thought there must be some error the first time. I also have the Q7 reducer and parts to use the axial port for eyepieces or cameras. I bought this from a well known guy on astromart.

I have very mixed feelings about the Q.
Hi croy,

Why mixed feelings?

Which year was your Q produce in?
