Haha... Going there to observe tomorrow at the field near C4/D1, will see how bad it goes.

Actually I would be more worried about the effects of the volatile solvents on the optics!

Shouldn't be that bad, though you may get a strong smell of the fumes in the air. But the activation/response of the Oil Spill company was swift and fast, so mitigation. knowing Singapore standards and how important this needs to be, would have been very successful and clean up mostly done. Dispersing agents would also have been used so a spill that size is pretty routine for the recovery crew.
Would be good just to stay outta the water as you may get some small traces that may have slipped through, though I doubt, but being open sea and area, the smell should either be gone, or just a lingering tinge!

Just advice, if the smell is too strong or irritating to you, leave immediately. This is a sign that your body system isn't accepting it. Headaches, nausea are symptoms. Don't wish to have long term effects from such airborne contaminants!

Other than that, if all is well!!! Have fun!! Just make sure the FUN isn't from high doses of inhalant...HAHA!

Maybe we should move tomorrow night's observation somewhere else? If so, a suggestion is Turf City but anywhere's fine with me...

I also don't mind anyone non-ECP place. Perhaps at MB again? Since Moon so bright, might as well do another Sidewalk Astronomy session. Being Vesak, the Moon may have more spiritual/religious signification for some members of the public. :)

No cause for concern, as the oil patches are already dealt with. My friend in Marine Parade says there is no longer any smell of it
