That is very similar to the Collins Electro-Optics I3 eyepiece (which is a Televue eyepiece with a gen-3 image intensifier tube).

Those things can't be exported out of the US, and cost a lot! (the Collins I3 is $3000+ USD).

Hmmm,

Interesting. But I am afraid it will amp up the signals from the light pollution in Singapore.

Be sure to check necessary permits and licensing required before anyone goes crazy and orders one of these.

3rd Generation light amplification equipment is a controlled item in Singapore.
