Milkyway Over Senggigi Beach by Winston Setiawan

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

Lombok Island in Indonesia still has well-preserved dark sky, free of any kinds of pollution. This picture shows what a truly dark and clear sky will show us. This is the kind of place we should have more anywhere."

Look's good! Let's go there for stargazing:

Sheraton Senggigi Beach Resort, "20-minutes drive from Lombok International Airport."

However, not sure how dark the skies there would be, so close to the airport.

Silk Air flies to Lombok 4 times a week.

hmm.... is this a single exposure? interesting... you could see lagoon nebula and all the faint stars of the milky way so nicely exposed and man made lights on the other end of the horizon still issnt flooding the photo with flares from over exposure..
