CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!
This was one of the longest imaging session without interuption from clouds. Spanning almost 5 hours, even with hazy sky and gibbous Moon, the final image really profited from the long integration time.
12x5min H-alpha, 8x1 min L, 13x3min Red, 11x3min Green, 11x3min Blue, Imaged with Televue Genesis SDF & DSI III Pro.
Didn't know you have a Genesis. Would like to have a look at it! Call me la... want to see your imaging set-up again!
Hi Gavin, yes it was image in Singapore, the same spot at the car park roof garden like before, will call you again if I am setting up. About the Genesis, yes one of my first love, it had not been out seeing starlight for a long while. A real predecessor of fast apos like TV NP 101 & Tak FSQ, I like its speed and flat field, but this 'old girl' is showing its age. You can see some CA (blue halos around the bright stars) on the pic.
