i hear good things (well good price things) about MS Color in AMK. their Pentax K-X is $50 less than Cathay Photo Marina Square.. (yeah i "need" a new astro-camera)

Or why not get a second hand CCD imager that will be cheaper than a new digicam and make your setup lighter, that is if you don't want the new digicam.
If not, get second hand from Peninsular Plaza.

cannot blow $3K on a camera! :-O

my K20D is 18 months old and has less than 10K shutter actuations.. what does that tell you about my camera usage.. also I already have some Pentax primes and would lose money if i switched systems. but if I were going to switch, I'd go (back) to Canon, rather than Nikon.

Get the Kx...its a wonderful camera! I just bought it from MS Color 2 weeks ago, having downgraded from a K7. Realised I am still a simple person and don't need the power of the K7! BTW, there is a Pentax gathering tomorrow at AMK Town Garden West park, so do join in if you can

I've never been to Sim Lim Square though.. too many horror stories. I enjoy going to Sim Lim Tower though!

The horror stories are over rated although you do need to be a little more careful buying stuff there. I have bought many things there over the years at cheaper than elsewhere. But of course, with your accent, the guys there will go into "year end bonus" mode unless you do your homework. [smilie=cool.gif]

Just remember not to argue with them. if price is close to what you want, try a little gentle bargaining and move on if not successful.
