Four planet sunset

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

I used a Canon 50D with Sigma 18-250mm lens. The photo is a 20s exposure at 18mm, f/3.5 and ISO400.

The second photo is a 30s exposure at 18mm, f/3.5 and ISO2000.

Very very nice, and you made it on seemingly very normal "amateur" equipment. Photography is not totally on equipment, but quite a lot of people have the wrong idea, and most waste time on thinking/talking/measuring the equipment (in photography forums) than out there shooting. Congrats. :)

Hi Jiahao, nice photos. I like your photos, especially #1.
I saw four planets (Mars, Venus, Saturn and Mercury) and the 3rd-day Moon on 12 August 2010 in Singapore. The sky
was clear at that night, I saw Jupiter and Uranus (with binocular) later in
the same night. I am glad that I able to see six planets in one night,
especially under sky conditions of this region.
