Fizzy: Never guessed that was your 1st trip! Mine too, didn;t sleep the whole night!
Yup, it was definitely my first trip and many trips to come. Wah, actually you are very powerful too, lol, whoel night didn't sleep also can drive back to SG.

Btw, after having a first hand assessment of the Punggai obsite, I think that it is an excellent place to observe. It is a good compromise between a dark sky and that of the needs for a safe, secure obsite. It also came as a surprise for me that despite the fact that there are road lamps meters away, keen eyed observers like Remus still can make out the shape of Delphinus. This is a gd indicator of the sky's darkness. But there are areas that we can improve on, such as, we can convinve the managment to provide us with mobile hospital partitioning curtains. These curtains can be deployed as barriers to block out the light coming from the lamps.

Hahaha! Or we can park our own there.....
Having said that, I keen to check out Sedili, which is NORTH of Kota Bahru hence further away from the light dome of Singapore but paradoxically, shorter than driving from Singapore since to get to Punggai you pretty much have to turn south near Kota Bahru
DON'T PANIC
