Generally at the top tier (where the mirrors are "named") there is practically no difference optically, be it Carl Zambuto, Robert Royce, Normand Fullum, Mark Harry, Terry Ostahowski...

So the premium dobs are differentiated by their mechanics and portability.

The lightest dob I've ever come across is the Litescope:

Hi,
Both are just as good... it's basically personal preference. I think most SingAstroian that had big dob is using Obsession... including the 18".

Anyway, IMHO, the most portable (also one of the most expensive) dob goes to Teleport: http://www.teleporttelescopes.com/

those teleports are pricey! but not smaller than the litescopes.
