Hi,
Have a nice day.
The software will align the stars during post processing as long as there is no star trails on each frame.... actually, there are "star trails" on many frames which is cause by the strong wind... I super "bo chap" and stack them all... hee hee :-PEnterprise wrote:Hi weixing nice capture! Spikes look abit weird to me but to each his own i guess!
Each 2 min exposure in post editing you had to process for field rotation in each frame?
Thanks... I think it'll be better if I shoot at wide open. Anyway, will want to test with LPS filter on... but just wonder when the next clear night will come??wucheeyiun wrote:Apart from the open star cluster...i like the faint nebulae sprawling across ... great work weixing
Have a nice day.

Hi,
Have a nice day.
Yes... all unguided... that's why all are "short" exposure (consider short in astrophotography).kensou wrote:so basically you took all unguided??
Usually no adjustment during the shoot... I usually took all shots at one go and do alignment of the image during post processing. Of course, your polar alignment must be accurate enough that the whole object must still be inside the frame at the last shot.kensou wrote:after each take adjust den take again?
Have a nice day.

Well done , Mr Yang! Its really beautifully taken ! I like that its so sharp and clear with a tinge of nebulosity
Maybe Subaru can use it for their adverts and pay you for it! "Astronomical COE Prices!"

@kensou
You can if you perform drift alignment apart from roughly aligning to the pole! Drift alignment may seem daunting but once you've done it a few times, you can probably drift align very quickly! Drift alignment fully ensures your mounts sidereel tracking is always keeping the target where you want it in the EP for as long as you want!
Basically it's centering the RA axis as close to celestial Pole as possible, which is where we really want our RA axis to point to especially for AstroImaging!
