Yes,perfectly annoying.Yesterday night was one of those RARE nights with good transparent sky and there is those annoying HORIZONTAL lights from the south;so I thought they will switch them off after midnight.I delay my obs till after 00:30 hrs just to learn that its still on after that.I did shot after that but ALL quite a WHITE WASH.Will post photo later.Wonder if those lights will be visible even in JB,since its horizontally aimed. They talk about carbon tax and enery saving--its should apply to those who pollute the night sky with such light--not to us.Simply wasting energy.

they are not only wasting energy but water too. apparently they used water to create a mist to project the videos.
Didn't the government advise us to save water? So does it means that as long someone is paying the bills they can waste them?
I hate the lights too.

Hi superiorstream, if you can see the lights, are you by any chance staying near Sands?

Hi,Shirox
No,I stay at Macpherson--at almost centre of Singapore--but the HORIZONTAL beam is so powerful that its capable of lighting up the dust particles here;and that why I wonder if it will affect Punggai in JB if its aimed in that direction.Luckily the beam is just ordinary light,if its a laser beam aimed at the direction of Punggai,I am sure those clear sky there will be gone too.

I think they have two or three nightly performances including those at 9.30pm and 11pm. The laser and water show by some unknown aussie company is incredibly tacky... YUCKS!
We do it in the dark...
