Hi,All
I think its wrong to attribute it solely to the moon;however gravitational from the moon, planets may had contributed to the energy release mechanism causing a earthquate.Other factors may be perhaps solar flares that throw particles at earth, both disturbing our magnetic field and perhaps those mesons, neutrinos cause or enhance certain energy releasing mechanism.
Whatever the cause, its interesting to learn that those master of survival--ANTS,COCKCOACHERS do react days before the events by way of moving houses(to higher places) or come out of their hiding places underground.,and their location may be hundreds of miles from the disaster area.
