Venus Transit (Normal)

On 25th, I observed Cresent shaped Venus.. well below the Moon.

Is this the event, you are referring to?

The cresent is due to the phases that Venus experiences as it traverses the orbit around the Sun resulting in the effect of different amounts of illuminance on the planet as seen from Earth. On the other hand, the transit of Venus occurs when the planet goes in front of the sun as seen from Earth. These are two independent things. hope this helps!

Hi,
I think you're right. Once the event is over, it should be shifted back to their "normal" forums to avoid overloading the global announcement area.
the moderators can't do this but the sys admin can...will ask Yong Quan to do a clean up on this.
