My first DSO (on my own) - Omega Centauri

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

good work Kevin! The sky background is a bit dark though, you might like to have it at around 25-30 out of 255.

Splendid for a first try!! Well done really!
Some stars are hot buggers so several orange dudes here and there. But colors can be tricky when starting out. I'm still struggling myself.
But it does show what can be done with what you have. Now slowly improve, try again, improve, try again, change, try again, improve,...you get the picture.LOL!
Keep at it! Overall it's a keeper. I'd be happy with something like that too! Since we're not aiming for Magazine cover shots...hehe, but great job! Go for broke!!
My wife never complained about how much time, effort & money I spent on my Astronomy hobby!................suddenly I met her!!!
