Kampung Bekok Trip in May 2011

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

Kampung Bekok Trip in May 2011

Post by Gary »

From recent trip to Kampung Bekok (Segamat, Johor, West Malaysia). Camera used was Canon Powershot A720IS (CHDK modded).

F/2.8. 15 seconds. ISO 1600. Actual background sky was much darker than captured in this photo. Kettle pouring milk straight down on the C8 which was powered by 5 power cables. :)

F/4.8. 3.2 seconds. ISO 200. Bright "stars" from left to right - Jupiter, Venus, Mercury.

Finally get to see Milky Way again for 2 straight nights since last August. But this time round with lots of creature comforts of a private house near good hawker food and mini supermarkets.

June beckons. :)
