Alright, this is for sharing of your observation experience. Or, if you are arranging gatherings, star-gazing expeditions or just want some company to go observing together, you can shout it out here.
for those who can take an image, please do since this is just about the longest total lunar eclipse in 11 years (length of totality >100min)...starting from 3:22AM when the moon hits the umbral region and exiting this region around 5:02AM local time. Try to shoot with an instrument that allows you to see the entire disk of the moon with decent size (at least 300mm and longer), and go try if possible (especially if you have tracking GEM) to shoot at slower f-ratios (you will get moon with surface features more crisp and contrasty!), set to a couple of seconds for your DSLR, and go for smaller (smoother) ISO numbers. Since the totality duration is long, you can try experimenting with a range of settings. Prior, just make sure you have a suitable T-ring, adapters, for your DSLR. It should also be pretty high up in the sky at that time, which makes it even better to get a nice smooth, reddish tonality of the moon! go well! good luck!
