Hi all,
Recently encountered a problem with my cpc nexstar controller. Once powered on, only the reddish backlight is on, but no led readout at all. Buttons still work cos' pressing the arrow buttons slew the telescope.
Anyone encountered this problem before and have solutions for it?
Or anyone with the "knowhows" to fix it? Personally, i think its a LED problem, which i feel anyone with the "knowhows" can get it easily fixed.
Or does anyone have a spare cpc nexstar controller for sale?
Really appreciate it. Thanks.

Its quite common. The LED module is defective. Happened to my classic Nexstar too but mine more complicated as its only compatible with the older controllers. Yours should be easy to fix.
You can bring it down to the Science Centre and let Albert help you out. He may have spares to sell. Otherwise you can check out Astromart for a spare controller to cannibalise the module. You have to do the detailed checks to ensure they are compatible though. i took a leap of faith with mine. In your case, best to try Albert.
