Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

Problem with getting star align on Nexstar

Post by Enterprise »

Hi every one, i couldnt find an answer to this problem and so far i dont know anyone else who attempted to use the same setup i am using so im just gonna fire away in the offchance someone has a suggestion.

Setup: Nexstar 6SE mount with VMC200L OTA using SLA battery

Problem: Failure to get alignment with 2 star or 3 star alignment. After repeated multiple attempts and switching alignment stars.

I had no problem doing alignment anytime when i had was using the original 6SE OTA. Could it be a weight issue?

Thanks for all input!

Could be weight imbalance causing the alt clutch to slip? Check balance and try again. Good luck :)
