Kahang already took my breath away when i saw the milky way under the dark skies. Indeed the skies are darker there. Maybe when we were there, it was bad timing. The mist was really dripping wet hahaha.
Looking forward to your timelapse project next weekend.
So happy to see everyone making plans for the next weekends. We can share around after next week! lol

Re:Friday Overnight trip to Mersing
Just like to know any one driving to Mersing to see the Meteoroid shower in open field over Friday night (29.07~30.07).
Few of colleagues are going in one car.
Either we join Remus at chalet or rough out in the open.
Any one driving up with same thought?

About the meteor shower, the southern Delta Aquariids, I wish to correct an error which I had made in an earlier post in this thread.
I had stated earlier "face southwards" and look up. It should be, face *eastwards*, or more exactly face ESE, and look up. I forgot to translate the direction stated in the books for our latitude in Singapore/Johor; Aquarius is an equatorial constellation.
The radiant point (near Delta Aquarii, not far from mag 1.1 Fomalhaut) rises around 9.30pm Singapore/Johor time near the due East direction. Best time is after midnight, esp near 3am (according to the books).
