Did you see Charlie there? I think he should be close to passing out and usually these cadets are chosen to put on shows for the public?

wow thats a really cool shot of the bike.. what camera lens did you use? i assume your using the D70 with astrophotography too right? how does it fare in AP? i've been thinking of saving my measley NS money to buy a DSLR and of course im looking at the 2 budget DSLR's the canon 300D and nikon D70..
anyone with thoughts about the 2?

Hi Eu-wen,

Welcome back online !

I'm using a budget 70-300 Nikon zoom lens.

Other than general, nature, lunar and solar photography, I can't use the D70 for other forms of AP because I don't have a proper motorized EQ mount at the moment.

Regarding the D70 vs 300D thing, maybe you'd want to start a new topic on that. You'll get more direct response that way. Or you can go to http://www.clubsnap.com and search their forum for past discussions on the same topic.

Wasnt there...was too tired after NDP training in No. 1.....my arms ache like hell..I'll be passing out in Sept though..Police BMT is 6 mths not 3.
