Observation at Tampines Eco Green

Post by Gary »

Was observing with my astro buddies at Tampines Eco Green (TEG from this point onwards) last night.

Enjoy some of the photos taken.

For local stargazers, TEG might just turn out to be a Little Johor in Singapore. :P

Hi,
The car park is quite far away, so you guys push all the way from the car park?? ON leh... A lots of mosquito there??

Anyway, if you had a portable setup, you can try the air field for remote control aircraft in the mountain bike trail opposite the ECO green... the tree surround the the area block most of the lighting from the road... or you can climb up the hill top to get a nearly 180 degree of clear view.

Have a nice day.

So the search for a dark place with clear skies and car park onsite continues..
Wanted to drop by Dempsey one of these days to see how bad it has gotten. Maybe that area behind the warehouse (where that awfully bright drinks vending machine is ) is still intact? Probably lots of cars passing by though.

If there is an opportunity, may drop by TEG to check out how good (or bad?) it is... [smilie=cute.gif]

Yes the car park is just opposite the ESSO petrol station.
But this carpark does not allow night parking.
You need to park the opposite carpark park instead.

The entrance which is between the junction Tampines ave 9 and 12, is just 150M away from the ESSO petrol station.

So for safety reason, if anyone wants to try this entrance for unloading, do not stop at this tampines 9 and 12 junction, and reverse in....

Instead stop at ESSO station, unload your stuff , and push it to the entrance.....

If you arrive midnight or early morning, whereby there is very little traffic, you can stop at the junction mentioned...
