That Celestron Nightscape camera looks interesting.. $1500 means it doesn't cost much more than the StarShootPro and QHY8. It uses the same Kodak OSC sensor as the SBIG STX.
KODAK KAF-8300CE 185 pixel/mm 5.4 μm 64.4 dB <E-300, E-500
KODAK KAI-10100 210 pixel/mm? 4.8 μm 64.0 dB <E-400
The well depth seems to be about the same as the KAF-8300 (used in the SBIG 8300C) albeit slightly less due to the higher megapixel count.
Interesting that these astro sensors actually were used in (by now dirt-cheap) Olympus 4/3rds cameras...

Its always good to know the major companies are still profitable enough to launch new products. For me I would have loved for Celestron to release a version of the Meade LS series but in a smaller form factor and lower price.
And having it integrated to an Android tablet or Ipad would be excellent too as we can move to whatever object we point to.

The product looks great and its definitely more compact but I think it is limited to small OTAs only. I wonder if its possible to mate a 6" or 8" OTA to the set up.
