Weather permitting, I will be conducting a sidewalk astronomy session at Toa Payoh Central tonight.
Date: Thursday, 9th of February 2012
Time: From 7:20 PM onwards
Venue: Open space in front of Toa Payoh Public Library [Google Map] [Street View]
Equipment: 5 inch telescope.
Uranus near Venus tonight.

oh man!! I missed you again. Last night was super duper clear and I was very enthusiatic to join you at Toa Payoh but a check at the hot spot did not see any "activation". Tonight I simply drove straight home and now I realised you are conducting one..haha..need to get your contact so can message you next time.

Yes..last nite very clear skies. Easily see the planets and Orion.

arrggg..sky was clear again tonight and I was hoping for a session at Toa Payoh but alas none today....seems our times can't meet! ..like the seventh sister and the cowherd ! haha..Next time...

Hi Sam. Yeah, we saw Uranus. Of course the general public is not impressed after they have just seen Jupiter.
But the kids found it quite cool and treat that as one more planet seen in their quest to complete the planetary list.

It is really a fun and powerful social media to network with people and update yourself with the most updated info about subject matter that is of interest to you. You do not need to tweet any message if you don't feel like doing so to enjoy such updates. Just follow and read.
The last sidewalk at toa payoh *may* be my last one for February 2012. Most probably see you in March at toa payoh! Unless we meet earlier in Malaysia.
