I think the price you quote is for the Meade 8" LX200 not the Meade 7" LX200. Meade 7" LX200 is a MCT and should be a lots more expensive than the 8" SCT version.

PS: I heard a used C9.25 OTA is only S$2000+ now

As for a used C9.25 OTA S$2000 is expensive because of ( Depreciation ) a new OTA for that is around USD$1000 to USD$1200 and with XLT is around USD$1300. But will still keep an eye on Meade 7" Maksutov first.
