Another Online Telescope Scam Shop -- C2 Optics Centre

Received a PM from someone asking about my comments regarding this online shop.

After a quick check through its contents, I can conclude that it is indeed a scam shop:

(1) Prices similar to US online shops but in Singapore dollars.
(2) Free worldwide shipping. Seriously?? LOL.
(3) Online for less than 1 year.

Come on C2 Optics, put in more effort to scam next time. You guys are a disgrace to your own scamming industry!

If anyone stay around Woodlands or Jakarta, do check out their "official" store front (according to their website ) and do some CSI work for fun:

Too bad a quick check reveals Active Core is not so active any more ("This account has been suspended").

I used to go there for makan when I worked in Woodlands number of years ago, don't remember seeing any telescope shop there. Maybe they just turn up recently, well if we go to GCC for event, can check out very easily, not too far from GCC. Or maybe the optics centre is not telescope optics but spectacles optics, haha.

Yea. Should go check out that shop sometime. Maybe it is a miniature modelling shop selling 1/72 versions of the listed telescopes. Super grab-n-go.

JM, did you ask them if the sell telescope or someone is using their address for scam as the website indicate their address as the business address. If it is a scam and they are not involved, then they better report to the police.

I was in the area and decided to drop by Peninsula Plaza to check out staroptics' listed office address. Instead I find some other company there instead.

Thanks for checking it out Mariner. Unless they are saving cost to share premises with someone else, it looks like very suspicious. Did you ask the other company ? Maybe there are really sharing office.
