HA Solar Images June 12

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

HA Solar Images June 12

Post by yltansg »

Taken on 2 Jun 11:30 AM

It was very cloudy through the day on 2 Jun 12. This picture was taken during a 10 min window when the Sun wasn't behind clouds. The number of sunspots has increased. The Sun is setting an active stage for the 6th Jun Venus Crossing !!

It's very interesting to see that Venus appear to move backward during the transit in Singapore... In US, the Venus just move across the Sun during the transit.

Have a nice day.

Got up early and imaged the Sun on the first opportunity. Was rewarded with a tiny window for imaging. The cloudy trend continued today. The following picture was taken in a small window when the clouds went away. The Sun's activity continues to build up. New sunspots and filaments are added. These will add to a more interesting stage for the Venus Transit. Hope the weather will improve.

Just got back from the event at NUS. I am rushing to the airport to join my family for a vacation. Don't have much time to sort the pictures out. Here is one :)
