Venus Transit- Photos from NUS Field

Hi folks, more photos from NUS field. What an event!! For those of us at NUS field, the event already began the evening before. Here are some of the photos:

Captured before the 3rd contact. Imaged with WO 80mm Zenithstar, Thousand Oak solar filter, 2xPowermate, Canon 450D.

Thanks to Cataclysm for the photos. I want to make mention that the Causcasian gentleman in blue chequered shirt is Robert from the Netherlands. He was very kind in helping to man the Coronado Solar Max 90 Scope (the 15th picture, last picture). He is a pilot with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. Thanks Robert and welcome to Singastro !! You have met the local friendly astro community :)

We were very glad that the clouds started going away at 10:45am. This was the position of Venus at 11:43 am. This H-Alpha photo is not as sharp as previous ones because there were layers of thin clouds.
