Name : NGC 6357 War & Peace aka Lobster Nebula
Constellation: Scorpius.

Object details:

NGC 6357 is a diffuse nebula near NGC 6334 (Cat's Paw) in the constellation Scorpius. This nebula was

given the name War and Peace Nebula by the Midcourse scientists because of its appearance. They said

that in infrared images the bright, western part resembles a dove, while the eastern part looks like a

skull. Well I could neither see a dove or skull .

Magnitude: ?
Angular Size: 40 '.

Location /Date/Time: Sedili Besar, June 23 , 2012, 2300-0300 hrs
Mount/Scope/Reducer/Mount control: SW EQ6 Pro/SharpStar 107PH,F6.5/ 695 mm FL/ Triplet/ EQDir/CDC

Guider: WO 66 ED@FL 396 mm /DSI Pro/PHD/ Pulse Guide thru EQDir.
Camera : QSI 583 WS @ Minus 10 Deg C.
Filters: Astrodon Gen II LRGB.

Image details: LRGB: 10 x 300Sec L+5 x300 sec RGBeach/ Captured using Maxim DL 5.18.. Total 100

minutes

Processing Details: Maxim DL 5.18/Adobe CS4/NoiseWare ,Darks only.

I have taken about 40 minutes of Ha also. Did not get time to combine it.. May be later..

It looks OK. Much better colour colour correction and flatfield than my ED120.
