By the way, where do you do all your customized machining?

I did it here as recommended by Kay Heem :

You simply give him the specs or a sample and he will do it. In my case, I actually gave him technical drawings with isometric views as well as my tripod as sample. Do note that the shop may have closed down (can't confirm) in which case you can go to any fitting shop, then.
