Full crop ( pixel peep ) of Tycho Crater

As a whole, the nikon d600 ( 24 mp ) is a very superior full frame sensor. This type of details of the crater obtain use to be achieved from multiple stacking of plenty of images, but now only a single shot is required, which saves a lot of time in image acquistion.

If you used the Nikon D800e ( 36mp ) to do the same, i believe even more detail will pop up.

Yes...you can achieve this resolution and clarity when you stack images and used image edit software...
with raw data using DSLR will be much more granulated and noisy.

Ha ha thanks, ISO setting for Nikon d600 is 3600 for enlarge crater, for whole moon is ISO 1600 ...

Nice pics & nice scope, btw if my C6 (LARGEST SCOPE i own Today) put next to ur C14 will it most probably look like a finder scope to main scope ? This imaginative scenario reminds me of one Chinese saying: "Small woo met Big woo" .. tks for sharing.
