CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!
Just wanted to share some photos taken recently. Dare not call it astrophotography, just photos taken with DSLR+Zoom lens through window. Welcome any tips or comments
Moon with Jupiter below and Alderbaraan on the right faintly.
Jupiter with 3 moons seen.
Orion constellation and barely see M42. On the bino it looks like some cloud over it.
Just a overview of NE sky from my window. Did see Pleaides but didn't realise it until later. Still hard to recognise constellation using bino, can't imagine if using telescope....lol
Cheers

This IS astrotophography! Thanks for sharing! Good first attempts.

Congrats on seeing the "cloud" visually which took 1344 light years to reach your eyeballs!

Not so much the fault of your bino or finding skills, it is the sky that is not clear enough. Using telescope with powered finder attached should make the job easier.

"The importance of a telescope is not how big it is, how well made it is.
It is how many people, less fortunate than you, got to look through it."

That was taken around the period of mid autumn festival. Been sitting on the photo..oops. I think the weather then was kinder, but last night after midnight was pretty clear too.
