Single shot M42 Orion Nebula

Post by weixing »

Hi,
Yesterday night sky was quite clear for most part of the session... will be better if not for the Moon. Anyway, I want to try imaging M42 Orion Nebula using my Mod 450D with EF 400mm F5.6L, but after I took a few test shot to check for alignment error, the cloud come in and cover the whole sky... wait till 1.30am and still can't see the Orion, so pack up and go home to sleep... [smilie=dreaming.gif]

Here is one of the better test shot:

Single shot M42 Orion Nebula taken with Canon 450D Astro Mod + Canon EF 400mm F5.6L @f5.6, 1 min Exposure @ ISO 800.

Have a nice day.

good attempt! good to have some of the clearer night skies back with us recently. actually the site is quite conducive for imaging and convenient to get to.

wow, very nice pic. I had taken chance with my ST80 guider scope and canon 300D. I couldn't take for too long time due to sky became cloudy under 40deg. I don't know if it is nice to show you here.

Thanks
Kimo
