Orion M42 from Singapore Skies

Hi all,

being sometime since I contribute some images, anyway, me & my
buddy (AStroSiao) decided to try our luck last nit, And guess what?
We go lucky!

Please see attached M42 taken with 80mm APO, unguided, 30sec exp.
with modded 450D. Center portiom burnt out....but still a great nite out!

hey bro, glad to see u've finally managed to catch some good data. stars look good and crisp. may need to do a bit of colour balancing (a bit on the red side). good to take some shorter exposures (5-10 seconds) to mask with core if you do not like it overexposed. keep shootin'!

Hi bro, yah, was lucky tat day, skies was clear just around Orion region.
Machiam meant for us to AP M42...rest if the skies was bad.

Thanks for comments..I realized too much red Liao. Will improve in
image processing..

Oh boy! Nice one CK, good to see you put the 450D to actions! Did you use the clip-on H-Alpha filter? :P

Hi Kelvin!

Not bad for my standard...hahaha
Yah finally test the modded camera..
No HA filter used.I'm only using it
with Orion skyglow filter.
