Re: Orion -Keep learning.
Thanks Gary.
here is another pic of Orion using only LPS-P2 filter.
Main scope: Orion St80
Camera: canon 300D
Exposure: 2min single shot below 40deg
Filter: LPS-P2
mount: heavy duty and self made base with pier.
Nerrowband filter takes long time but lps-p2 don't. problem with LPS-p2 filter is you can't do very long exposure .

Re: Orion -Keep learning.
here is another pic. Focusing is not easy with cheap focusser on st80. this image was taken few days ago so today i just processed. I am still looking for good scope with ED glass and now palying with this ST80 guide scope. Have to learn more about preocessing mono images.

Re: Orion -Keep learning.
I had reprocessed the images. Narrowband imaging is not easy, there are lots to learn. Processing is more challenging then taking picture. My new inventory portable telescope system (portable observatory?)should get credit to use more often then before. I am very pleased with it.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Re: Orion -Keep learning.
the AT65EDQ is back in stock at astronomics. $600 US.
if i were looking for my very first ED astrograph, that one would be high on my list as its a 4-element design that doesn't need a flattener. Kind of the poor man's NP101 or FSQ106!
