Some say we can only do AP when the Moon is not around & stay far from the city, i think this is very true to say so for objects like galaxies.
Having said that, there is 1 saving grace for Emission nebula. These objects generally have better surface brightness that enable them to be picked up in urban areas like Singapore Sky. Moreover, filters like Hydrogen Alpha, Oxygen III etc. will help greatly in detecting their respective spectral type.

I believe this is 3x 20 minutes guided, from my balcony. QHY8 (unregulated cooler). IDAS LPS-V4 filter (poor man's HA filter - equivalent to a 20nm HA).

Wow, that's cool, clean & nice, good contrast & high degree of clarity. In fact i ever consider getting a QHY8 OSC (nope, not Ohio Service Center nor Oscillator which i initially thought) but hold back spending due to financial constraint recently, thanks for sharing.

it's not the camera, it's the filter

although if you buy a cooled CCD, i suggest skip past the OSC and go straight to mono.

this was my mistake. Cyclops Optics (Malaysia) has pretty good prices for QHY cameras. Or you can buy from tan14.com

if i had sufficient budget though, i would get a mono 8300 sensor like an SBIG or a QSI.

If the QSI - I'd get one with the built-in guide port, so you can do OAG out of the box. If the SBIG - get the STF which also has a built in (reduced) OAG.
