it is not a very challenging object brightness wise because it is quite bright.
the big challenge is that it is so tiny that you need a very long focal length. i have been looking for amateur images of the Eskimo and all the good ones are done with RCOS or Planewave instruments, 12.5" to 17" or more. Folks with SCTs can't get much better than the above image...
