Stacking experiment with unguided shots

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

Stacking experiment with unguided shots

Post by Mariner »

3 shots of 20sec exposures. Stacked and tweaked the brightness and contrast. Straight shots using an unmod-40D (no darks, etc). Plenty of hotspots and some distortion. Bright globe just to the centre-right is Jupiter.

This was taken up in the Alishan area in Taiwan back in October.
