Cleopatra's Eye

Post by orly_andico »

this is from last night. 6 x 3 minutes through clouds.

Image

Cleopatra's Eye (NGC 1535) is a double shell planetary nebula in Eridanus. quite small.

Great shot orly, I took your pict to tweak the contrast to show a darker sky (not comfortable with red sky). Hope you don't mind.

Don't mind at all... i'm color blind so people are always commenting on my post processing :D

used the C9 for that. guided of course.

the nice thing about these small planetaries is that they are quite bright. so we can image them even with the light pollution here in SG.

the not so nice thing is that they are so tiny. I'm thinking about getting a 2X 2" ED barlow for these things. But that would mean imaging at f/20 !!!!

Orly,

Pretty good despite such terrible sky.
Your C9.25 very powerful.
C9.25 on the new mount?

Thanks for sharing.

Yeah. I wouldn't dream of trying to image at 2350mm focal length with either of the older mounts....
