opps...only just read your mail! But seems the sky is quite bad here.
Hopefully weixing, elton and john teh, who are now in mersing will have better luck...looking forward to reading weixing's "virgin mersing" report when he comes back!

just back from mersing. mersing was at its best last night (the four of us agree it was the best sky we've ever seen in our life!) milky way was 170deg long, it was so bright it's causing light pollution! lost track of objects we observed, it's just too many. weixing will post detailed report and some pics taken.HI Mooey,
