Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!
Last weekend I have the opportunity to have this photo taken, together with 3 scopes mounting onto 3 permanent piers, at one of our Singastro member's roof top......
Looks like he is the only one in Singapore that has 3 permanent piers mounted at his roof top observatory.......

Hi James. Sky was clear enough for a good shootout there last Saturday. Happy for you guys! Wish I was there to see Orion Nebula again thru the ISTAR. We shall meet again soon.

Yes, last Saturday night the weather is quite good although there are some fast moving clouds.....
We did a star test to the Celestron edge 8, and is the scope is well collimated.......
But unfortunately, even with its XLT coating, it is not able to pick up star E in the M42 Orion nebula's trapezium, unlike the Istar can easily seen the star E, but could not resolve star F.........

This is interesting. We saw E and F stars using Dave's C6 XLT at Bishan Park before on a very clear night. 8SCT shd not be a problem. Most probably due to the sky condition and the target not at best near-zenith location on a gibbous Moon night.

Last night , we have 4 scopes setup for the moon and Saturn shootout.....
We started around 12 midnight till morning 6am.....
And I would say the overnight we spent up there did not disappoint 3 of us, and we have a fantastic...view of both the moon and Saturn.... through all the scopes....
