Yup...an thanks for imaging the Horsehead too. We tried very hard to look for it that night with filters but can't seem to see it. Now we can.

Hi all, here is one more , a widefield shot of Eta Carina Nebula with the Canon 200mm EFL 2.8 lens, modified 350D & GPD mount. Sometime astrophotography should be as easy as this, a no frills, unguided simple setup. No darks , no flats a 'quick & dirty' processing...

Thanks Gary for the link. Wow that was way back, yes I have since enhanced the performance of the camera with cooling, hence the noise has been greatly suppressed.
