NGC5139 & M83

Post by cataclysm »

Hi folks, latest haul from Mersing, not very productive just managed to bag 2 objects with just one clear night. For this trip I replaced my imaging workhorse the Newtonian for Mewlon 210 instead as the main imaging scope, as a result trading speed for resolution. Imaging at close to 2000mm feels like a daunting task at first, I thought it would be a long shot to get any decent images. But the AP Mach 1 delivers as promised, what a mechanical marvel! :P

Omega Centauri

AP Mach 1 , Takahashi Mewlon 210, Takahashi 0.8x reducer/flattener, Modified Canon 450D, Brightstar OAG, 4x3min, 8x5min, 3x8min @ISO 1600

M83

AP Mach 1 , Takahashi Mewlon 210, Takahashi 0.8x reducer/flattener, Modified Canon 450D, Brightstar OAG, 10x8min, 5x10min @ISO 1600
