Peter,
Like cloud cover has put it, I really admire your relentless effort to image from Sg sky.
It is very difficult to get good result doing it in resident area. Particularly with DSLR and LPR filter.
When we start we have to have to bear with poor outcome as part of learning and gradually improve.
Most important, we must set sight to improve.
But naturally on the road to better result, not only require improving the skill but painfully also necessitate upgrading of equipment $$$.
A word of caution. Before you upgrade consider carefully you next brand of equipment.
Invariably, astrophoto quality/result is tightly linked to quality/reliability of equipment.
Keep it up with your local site imaging.

Re: Pathetic Leo Triplet with C6 SCT taken at Light polluted
I tried doing M51 a year ago through the IDAS LPS-V4 from the balcony, with an ED refractor. This was 1 hour I think (3 x 20)

Results were not much better than the above, and I was using 20-minute subs.
I think generally galaxies are no luck in SG, so stick to emission nebulae. Rosette, M42, Horsehead all are fairly adequate (though nothing fantastic) through an appropriate filter.

Hi Orly, i guess you are right, no luck with galaxies, this may be because all good & bad lights are equally attenuated... ![crying3 [smilie=crying3.gif]](./images/smilies/crying3.gif)

Just went to re-shoot the Leo Triplet with Meade 80ED, un-guided, ISO 1600 45s X10 = ISO 800 45s X10 with the CLS Filter removed this time, worked opposite Pulau Ubin part of Changi. This time can see a bit, not so pathetic
quick and dirty processing juggling between Nebulosity / MaximDL & Nero.

There is hope yet for Galaxy imaging in SG. Just need darker skies ![cheer [smilie=cheer.gif]](./images/smilies/cheer.gif)
