My 1st Attempt at imaging Saturn
My 1st Attempt at imaging Saturn
Been wanting to get a photo of Jupiter fo so long but weather has been bad on many many nights so can't do anything. But I did managed to image Saturn for the 1st time using my Powerseeker 80eq and Neximage webcam. Will try again with a barlow to get it to look bigger.

Good first attempt! Can see the ring already. What a clear night for observing/imaging Saturn! Keep shooting!
Were you manually tracking the 80EQ while recording the videos with the webcam?

Hi Gary. Thanks for the compliment. For tracking, I had to adjust the slow motion cables manually as I do not have a motor or computerised mount. Got to keep adjusting every now and then to position it to the bottom left of the screen and let it drift to the top right while recording it. Saving up to upgrade to a better telescope and mount.

aleetk - great job and nice image. It will get more difficult to do manual tracking with barlow. A tracking mount is the way to do for AP. All the best ![cheer [smilie=cheer.gif]](./images/smilies/cheer.gif)
