Images of Saturn at Opposition

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

Thanks Remus for the tips. I will put in some more effort on experimenting with the small-scale enhancement in wavelet.

As for Saturn, I think it will be around till late Sep. So there will be opportunities for more imaging.

Hi all,

Thanks to tips from Remus, I did some more wavelet post-processing. Here are 2 of the same image, one with and the other with labels of Saturn's features. Besides the Encke Gap, all the others could be identified :)

First, the image without the labels. This was one of 30 images taken on 30 Apr 13.

Here is the one with labels of the features that could be identified. Happy to be able to see Ring C :)
