Hi,All
Thanks Gary for the upload.
The first 3 photos give an idea of a storm at the edge of the sun.Understand that a 3mm dot
represents the size of the earth and see how the 'clouds' of hot gas change shape 10 to 20X
earth size in a short time of 10-15 min. This will indicate the speed involve.
The next 2 photos are that of a rare Cak bright prominence.I suppose it s from an on-going
flare that throws out the hot gas with hot Ca atoms.
Lastly this is even rarer--a sunspot in Cak with 2 penumbra.Never see such before and the outer penumbra never show up in both 540nm and Ha.Strange sunspot.

Hi,All
It looks like the 2nd maximum of cycle 24 is on and here are 4 photos of the sun yesterday. The solar tornado is interesting;with 2 sunspot group in Cak.Note that the Ha image of the sunspot
contain a sunspot with a bright "dot" right in the umbra--rare.
Hi,Gary
Sent you the photos already. Thanks for the upload again.

Hi,All who are interested in the sun
The current cycle --cycle 24--seem to be in the 'downcycle part' now. However, just before that
THE LONGEST LASTING SUNSPOT occurs. It circle the sun 3 rounds before disappearing ;showing itself
as 1944;1967 and 1990.At its largest, its almost 400,000km long and almost 200,000km wide--in white light, and even larger when view with Ha,or Cak.I will submit the photos round by round. Here goes-----
Hi,Gary
will be submitting the photos to your email. Thanks for the upload.I hope I am not acuse of spaming
