We have modified our preferences more than once to allow purchases from outside the USA as long as the ship to address is USA. Ebay seems to have an issue with it. To date we haven't been able to overcome the problem, sorry. And all sales are still within eBay. The last time it came up the buyer had a friend in the USA handle the transaction. Don't know if that's an option for you...
eh...i think its about the weight of 5kg rice
exact weight i'm not sure
this is from my estimation while carrying it.
what kind of performance are you looking for?
whether its worth the money i'm not sure because i've only used a few times. and i haven't got it working correctly due to my mistakes
but i paid 2000 for it and all i can say is that i do not know if its worth the money but i haven't regretted
its not small, the mount on top is really big and the legs are each of diameter 2 inch

OK, an advertisement states that the CG5 mount with C5 OTA weighs about 48lb.shoelevy wrote:eh...i think its about the weight of 5kg rice

My C5 OTA is about 2.5kg (5.5lb). After deducting the weight of the C5, the weight of the mount comes up to 19.3kg. That is almost 2 X 10kg bag of rice.
If you intend to mount a larger scope, be prepared to bring along more counter-weights.
The C8 and C9.25 with mount weighs approx 54lb (24.5kg) and 62lb (28.2kg) respectively.
Hope that helps.

If you are just talking about the mounthead, then yes, it can't be more than 10kgMooEy wrote:lol, that 48lb thing sound like complete bullshit to me. the cg5 is one of those china wannabe like vixen mounts. i doubt it weights anything more than 10kg.

But if you add in the counterweights, and most importantly the TUBULAR legs, ..it can weigh up to 19 kg like what KH says.
As they say, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. I have seen the exact mount with the tubular steel legs (not the older, lighter extruded aluminium) with a scope mounted at Astro Scientific. Anyone interested can pop over to there to take a look.VinSnr wrote:If you are just talking about the mounthead, then yes, it can't be more than 10kgMooEy wrote:lol, that 48lb thing sound like complete bullshit to me. the cg5 is one of those china wannabe like vixen mounts. i doubt it weights anything more than 10kg.

BTW, I did use to own the older CG5 with aluminium legs. The complete mount with counter weights do weigh more than 10kg.
