Thanks for the inspiration to other widefield APers! Looking forward to coloured mosaic of Milky Way in Singapore!looyaa wrote:Gary => Haven't been checking the forum for quite a while. Thank you for posting my summer triangle photo! Hopefully with these postings, I have shown that widefield AP is possible in Singapore. I got a lot more to learn to improve the photos.
All thanks to light pollution, that's why we can see only the brighter stars using our eyes. It is interesting to compare what our cameras can see versus what our eyes can see when viewing the photo.zymon wrote:I could not see any constellations cos I not used to seeing so many stars all together, normally scorpio tale is easy to see cos its far brighter than adjacent stars but not it seems when you composite a load of frames together as is done here. Nice image.
Sunday night was really clear too!
Nice shots Dave! Considering the amount of light pollution and the MW is less than 40 degree at your location, this is good! No worries about posting Singapore MW photos in this thread. Great to see APers attempting the MW shots and sharing it!Davegn wrote:Hi all,
Sorry to invade this thread but
as i had inspirated by Looyaa and his milky way photo and decided to give it a test try.
(Thanks Looyaa for his support!)
Taken this yesterday night right out side my house at AMK (very light polluted)
and it was only around 40 degrees high or less.
Just a small hint of the milky way in the photo!

It is worth a try in darker areas in Singapore and esp when it's nearer to zenith!
