Hi,
From the satellite images, the whole region is cover with clouds these few days. But the weather there can be quite unpredictable, it can be quite cloudly in the afternoon and suddenly clear up in the night or the other way round.

Anyway, most of the locals there don't know english, so to avoid any misunderstanding... especially at night, it is best to bring along someone who speak malay. Also, remember to bring mosquito coil (mosquitos were on leave when we were there... lucky :) ), warm pack to keep your scope free of dew at humid night (dew were on leave too when we were there... lucky lucky :) :) ) and some clothing that will keep you warm... the night we went was quite cold.

Have a nice day.

Nice diagram Arief!
But must clarify that at the observation site, there is no road going into it..you need to drive over a natural hump along the side of the road.
Also, the site you visited is different from the "original" site from what Weixing described. For one, we are not able to see the sea at all as we need to cross over a small mound to see it but I guess anywhere along there would suffice..
